  • What is Neuropsychological Testing?

Using an analogy to answer the question, Neuropsychological Testing is to the MRI as a Scanning a Hard Drive's Software is to Testing if the Hard Drive is Broken.

In more detail, Neuropsychological Testing provides a view into the brain’s cognitive and behavioral functioning.  We assess specific areas of intellectual ability, visual/auditory/immediate/delayed memory, level of academic achievement, processing speed, ability to problem solve/multi task, logic, physical dexterity, emotional state, etc.

How will Neuropsychological Testing help me and my family?

A comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation can determine the cause of the observed cognitive or behavioral challenge, distinguish between competing theories, and provide a diagnosis.  Once a patient's strengths and weaknesses are understood at a granular level, we provide recommendations and possible strategies to remedy addressable challenges and help you maximize your academic / industrial performance, and cognitive / emotional state.
